Shift Supervisor - Training Officer
Summary The Shift Supervisor - Training Officer will assist the Captain by performing supervision of the shift workforce and administer the training program; oversee and manage the security-related functions and responsibilities of the work-shift; supervise teams of armed guards and will ensure all contract requirements are adhered to. Responsibilities Will lead training efforts, track training expirations/due dates, and ensure personnel remain current on contract required training qualifications. Wearing a uniform and possessing an assigned weapon, will conduct and /or participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions. Provide the immediate, day-to-day, leadership, supervision, and management of the subordinate personnel in the conduct and performance of security related functions and responsibilities. Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned; conduct roving patrols prevent installation breaches and other OPSEC or security-related tasks. Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders. Required to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel. Will provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions. Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned. Will follow and enforce all applicable standard operating procedures, government regulations and directives pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment. Will conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection. Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays. Will be responsible for subordinate performance evaluations and sustainment of subordinate training / certification proficiencies. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English. Have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration. Must be at least 21 years of age. Possess a valid state driver’s license Minimum of one year of supervisory training experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization. Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross. Successfully be able to meet physical agility standards as set forth by US Army. Be able to meet any Federal, State, or Municipal requirements to work as an Armed Security Guard. Have no record or history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture during the previous five years. Have no felony convictions and no convictions that reflect on the individual’s reliability including those crimes classified under the Lautenberg Act. Estimated Salary/Wage Up to USD $31.68/Hr.
