Cleveland-Cliffs, Rockport Works is looking for a Shift Manager Operations in our Finishing Department. This frontline leadership role is responsible for coordinating safety and quality efforts while overseeing production, ensuring compliance with all safety, quality and operational standards.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Ensure all safety protocols, policies and procedures are strictly followed to maintain a safe work environmentProvide direct supervision and leadership to hourly union production employees across assigned shiftsMonitor and manage production performance to meet quality and efficiency goalsCoordinate staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and effective operations for the shiftCollaborate with maintenance, planning, quality, and other departments to support seamless production flowIdentify and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivityEnsure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations and operational standardsComplete and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to production, quality and safetyAdministers discipline as requiredOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GEDStrong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teamsAbility to train, lead and hold others accountable for compliance of safety and qualityMust be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as requiredAbility to work in a heavy industrial environment, including exposure to heat, noise and moving equipmentExperience using Microsoft Office applications and production management systemsPreferred Qualifications:
