MAU is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician for our client Swiss Krono in Barnwell, SC. As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will oversee maintenance operations during assigned shifts, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues, and lead maintenance technicians to reduce downtime across manufacturing processes. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package 401(k) retirement plan Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid time off Opportunity for advancement Shift Information Dupont rotating schedule (12-hour shifts on a 14-day cycle, including days, nights, and weekends) Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical drive systems, and electrical controls Preferred Education and Experience Two-year degree in mechanical or electrical technology Experience with PLCs, Servo Drives, VFDs, and process controllers Basic computer skills for work order and parts management General Requirements Strong leadership skills to manage shift technicians and prioritize tasks Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable working in high-temperature and dusty environments Ability to collaborate with production leads to resolve manufacturing issues Essential Functions Communicate with production staff to assess equipment issues Assign maintenance resources to support manufacturing operations Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or controls-related issues Perform timely and cost-effective equipment repairs Accurately charge parts to the correct work orders and cost centers Conduct Root Cause Analysis to prevent issue recurrence Communicate unresolved problems to the maintenance planner for follow-up Monitor equipment for potential failures or inefficiencies Collaborate with the maintenance planner to coordinate preventive maintenance Assist shift technicians in resolving technical problems Participate in shift turnover meetings Ensure downtime is properly recorded in shift reports Drive equipment downtime reduction during assigned shifts Working Conditions Exposure to elevated temperatures, dusty conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical components, and ambient air Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, vibrations, and chemicals Physical Demands Must be able to stand for a full 12-hour shift Frequent walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, squatting, and operating lift trucks Occasional lifting of components up to 50 lbs Requires use of hands, fingers, and arms; frequent reaching and handling tools Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
