A Shift Engineer/ Handy Person is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nMaintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas\nRespond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment\nPerform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry\nConduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs\nRecord and report completed repairs and items that require further attention\n\n\n
What are we looking for?
\nA Shift Engineer/Handy Person serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
\n\n\nWe are looking for people with qualification or experience in one of the following fields: hospitality engineering, joinery, carpentry, electrician, plasterer or decorator
\n\nStrong work ethic\nA passion for delivering great customer service\nAbility to work without close supervision and within established timeframes\n\nAdditional skills that would be beneficial to also have: \n\n\nCurrent working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work\nExperience in the Maintenance Department of a large hotel, hospital, ship, and/or restaurant complex or similar\n\n\n
