ROTATING DAY SHIFT PATTERN; 6-2 AND 2-10 MONDAY-FRIDAY (BASIC SALARY PLUS SHIFT ALLOWANCE)

 

Our manufacturing site, located in Ashford, is the home of engineers, scientists, technicians, and product developers to name just a few. RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As our Shift Engineer you are responsible for assisting with all aspects of machine maintenance, trouble shooting, and breakdowns. You will proactively manage preventative maintenance, ensuring productive execution of required maintenance during down time, focusing on supporting the continued smooth running of operations.

 

Your main focus :

Working in our manufacturing department in a small team, carrying out preventative maintenance tasks as per schedules. Ensuring smooth running of the Manufacturing department ensuring breakdowns are resolved with minimal impact to operations in a timely manner.  Examples of common mechanical breakdowns, steam & water jacketed vessels, agitators, gearboxes, drive systems.  Electrical breakdowns, could include, control systems, safety circuits, inverter drives, motor control systems. Working closely with the area supervisors & managers to ensure priorities are being followed and downtime is minimised.

The wider team consists of 18 engineers, mechanical, electrical & multi-skilled working a variety of shifts.  You will work closely with the manufacturing department. Your colleagues range from recently qualified apprentices to those with 30 years on tenure. Working in the team, you feel a strong sense of camaraderie.

 

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

 

You like to want to know how equipment works, keen to learn new tasks and think on your feet when problem solving.  As a Shift Engineer, you will have completed an engineering apprenticeship ideally in FMCG or Pharmaceitical environment where you will be familiar with GMP & EHS standards expected.  You get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:

 

Open to a diverse workplace and loves to work in a team. Strong communication skills. Excellent understanding of customer expectations and deliverables and the desire to produce good quality products. Ability to work well in a team Understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices. Familiarity with processes for engineering change request and engineering change order. Sound find-finding capability.
