What is the required shift?

Rotating shift between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift (must be available for all three)

Week One: 1st shift 7 days in a row (Mon-Fri: 7A-3:30P; Sat-Sun 7A-7:30P)Week Two: 2nd shift 5 days in a row (Mon-Fri: 3P-11:30P)Week Three: 3rd shift 7 days in a row (Mon-Fri: 11P- 7:30A; Sat/Sun 7P-7:30A)Week Four: OFF 5 days in a row

Job Purpose:

The Shift Controls Technician will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems within the plant. Designed for individuals with foundational knowledge in electrical and control/programming systems.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED3+ years of experience in electrical systems, automation, and/or related fieldsKnowledge of PLCs, HMIs and/or motor control systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsStrong electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements:

Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.)Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 8 hours/ shift).Ability to work in a variety manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms (hot, cold, wet, etc).Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree or certifications in electrical engineering, automation, or related fields.Previous manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting senior technicians with system upgrades and modificationsAssist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and motor control systemsPerform basic repairs, inspections, and calibrations on electrical and control equipmentSupport Sr. Controls Technicians with the installation and setup of new control systems and automation equipmentHelp identify and resolve minor faults in control systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operationsAssist in maintaining inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for control system maintenanceFollow all safety procedures and protocols when servicing control systems and electrical equipmentAny ad hoc requests
