Summary

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative SHEQ Engineer or Manager, APAC to lead safety, health, environment, quality, and compliance initiatives across our logistics operations, with a strong focus on warehouse quality improvements. This role is responsible for driving Lean Six Sigma-based quality initiatives, maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, and ensuring compliance with Singapore’s regulatory and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse operations, strong internal auditing skills, and a team-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lean Six Sigma & Process Improvement

Champion Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and waste reduction in logistics operations, with a focus on warehouse KPIs.Monitor and report on KPIs related to operational excellence.Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to identify gaps, develop improvement plans, and execute process enhancements.Apply Lean Six Sigma tools (e.g., A3, DMAIC, 5S, root cause analysis) to conduct root cause analysis (RCA).Facilitate continuous improvement events (e.g., Kaizen).

2. SHEQ System Implementation & Maintenance

Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) based on ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.Maintain and update quality documentation, procedures, and records to meet ISO and operational requirements.Oversee document control, process standardization, and continual improvement activities.Champion the quality and SHE culture across all levels of the logistics organization.

3. Audits & Compliance

Drive and maintain audit readiness across various operations.Plan, conduct and report on internal audits across operations.Plan, prepare, and support external audits and certification processes.Track non-conformities, implement corrective / preventive actions, and ensure timely closure.

4. Legal & Regulatory Compliance

Maintain and regularly review the Singapore SHE legal register relevant to operations.Ensure all practices are compliant with local laws, WSH regulations, and environmental standards.Main point-of-contact between Singapore National Environment Agency (NEA) and the company’s 3rd party vendor to conform to the Resource Sustainability Act 2019 (e.g. Reporting / Validating on e-Waste, Packaging Waste, and Producer Responsibility Scheme)Conduct periodic risk assessments and safety inspections in line with regulatory requirements.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

Partner with warehouse supervisors, safety officers, quality leads, and logistics managers to align goals and drive results.Lead training, awareness campaigns, and improvement workshops for frontline teams.Foster a strong, collaborative SHEQ culture across departments and levels.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of SHEQ experience, including experience in warehouse operations and logistics environments.Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified (required).Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.Strong knowledge of Singapore safety, health, and environmental regulations, including legal register management.Proven experience in quality management, process improvement, and auditing.Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills.Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence change.

Preferred Skills

Experience in 3PL, e-commerce, or high-mix-low-volume order fulfillment operations.Comfortable with data analysis, audit software, and digital quality tools.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, from shop floor to senior leadership.
