This role requires the ability to read blueprints, work with precision instruments, and follow detailed work instructions. The Company will provide job training and support to ensure employees can perform the required duties safely and effectively.
Assembly & Installation: Work from blueprints, specifications, and work orders to assemble and install parts to quality requirements
Data Entry & Documentation: Complete required data transactions to track and facilitate assembly progress and part movement.
Machine Operations Set up and perform manual and automated assembly operations and use portable machinery as needed.
Modifications & Testing Perform necessary rework, fabrication changes, and functional testing during or after assembly
Material Handling Obtain and move parts, materials, tools, and assemblies to support production.
Precision Measurement Use precision measuring tools and instruments to verify work and meet quality standards
Problem Identification Report and help resolve issues such as incorrect parts, assembly procedures, or tooling problems.
Routine Maintenance Conduct basic preventative maintenance (e.g., replace filters, change light bulbs, check lubrication levels).
Product Movement Move products within the manufacturing area using shop equipment and update system transactions accordingly.
Team Support & Training Support continuous production flow by training, coaching, and assisting team members as needed.
Quality Control Document any discrepancies per specification and ensure compliance with processes and procedures.
Cross-Training Participate in cross-training activities, including inspection, and obtain SIA (Self-Inspection Authorization) qualification.
QualificationsLocal candidates strongly preferred.2 years of experience as aircraft assemblet, sheet metal mechanic in aerospace enviroment. Must be able to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) and flexible to work other shifts if required.Must be able to work overtime and weekends per business needs.Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, blueprints, and specifications.Experience with assembly operations, functional testing, and quality inspections.Comfortable with manual labor, standing for long periods, and handling tools/machinery.Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality control.Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in aerospace as assemblerExperience with precision measuring instruments and quality assurance processes.Knowledge of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) practices.
