Tecta America Colorado is seeking a Sheet Metal Laborer to assist in our shop. The ideal candidate should be familiar with mechanical breaks, shears and other fabrication tools and processes but are willing to train. Candidate must be available to work Monday- Friday (overtime and weekends possible but not frequent).Your Duties:Install and assemble sheet metal products using brakes, shears, drills, and pressesAssists in inspecting fabricated parts to ensure quality, precision and accuracy standards are met. Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and machinesAbility to perform tasks that require physical stamina such as lifting and moving materials, hand tools, shop/warehouse and construction environmentKnowledge and Skills:1-2 years in sheet metal fabrication/installation or related fields (Preferred)Bi-lingual (preferred)Clean driving record (preferred)Must be 21+ for insurances purposes (Required)Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check (required)Proficiency in using sheet metal fabrication tools such as shears, presses, drills and reading technical drawingsFamiliarity with various processes (cutting, bending, assembling)Understanding of safety procedures in fabrication/installationWorking Conditions:Construction site environment with exposure to loud noise, various weather conditions, heat, and various equipmentWalking, lifting, bending, reaching, operating machinery, climbing laddersBeing mindful of workplace accidents, injuries, and potential safety concernsPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, have to talk, and hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
