Location: Barcelona, Spain 

To manage and to assure the overall effectiveness and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety and Environment systems in  the mixed lab, factory and office environments in DSM-Firmenich in Spain

Your key responsibilities

•    Drive the development of a strong safety culture and the  execution of dsm-firmenich GOE SHE strategy (Group Operational Excellence - Safety Health & Environment)
•    Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations linked to employees and the facilities, including both local and group requirements
•    Conduct risk assessments, ensure yearly legal audits, safety tours, investigations further incidents/accidents and follow-up on emergency safety drills.
•    Set-up preventive and correctives action plans as well as continuous improvement plans
•    Provide training to all affiliate personnel, including contractors.
•    Provide support to the main stakeholders: to all laboratories of Perfumery and Taste, and to the facility manager.
•    Manage all documentation related to approve external suppliers on site, according to spanish legislation. Support stablishing work-permits.

You bring

•    MS degree preferably in Chemistry/Food Technology
•    At least 3 year experience, preferably in Chemical or Pharma or food industry 
•    Qualified in Spanish HS&E Certification for " Superior Technician in Labor Risks Prevention in 3 fields ( security, industrial hygiene and ergonomy (In spanish so called ="Técnico Superior de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales"con 3 especialidades (seguridad, higiene industrial y ergonomía/RPS)"
•    Fluent in  English and Spanish
•    Open to travel in Spain
•    Soft skills: ability to adapt to the company standards, effective communication, teamwork and problem-solving.
•    Hard skills: technical expertise, specific industry knowledge, proficiency with tools and softwares.
•    Be a pragmatic and independent leader. Providing proactive initiatives to promote SHE awareness locally.
•    Consistent alignment with the company’s safety standards
