The SHE & Governance manager for the Tequila & Mezcal Category is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant local regulations and Diageo standards, processes and policies in the space of Safety, Health & Environment. In addition, this role will drive initiatives, projects and trainings to achieve an outstanding compliance and safety culture. This role covers the whole category and thus covers different sites and offices. Key responsibilities for this role include: + Setting the SHE/Governance standards, vision & strategy for the whole category, and supporting all the sites/departments/teams to build flightplans and to actually achieve these visions & strategy. + Plan and develop performance, standards, frameworks and capabilities to meet the market’s scorecard targets in the area of safety, health, environment and other compliance areas, aligned with the Diageo strategy. + Set the mechanisms for how SHE objectives and risks are handled + Set up, maintain and improve governance structures and standards that handle SHE and Governance throughout the category, ensuring accurate information, correct culture, continuous improvement of results and a standardized way of working across all sites and departments + Pro-actively craft and create the right culture in compliance and SHE throughout the whole category, which includes: + Clear accountability and ownership throughout the whole category + Safety and compliance first mentality (non-negotiables) + Continuous communications and focus on this agenda + Role modelling + Oversee controls to assure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements as well as good business practices and Diageo standards and policies + Set market/sites SHE targets, develop plans to meet those targets (and support sites in the development of their plans) and oversee their delivery. + Responsible for SHE management – performing the Diageo SFIP / GRMS standards in the areas of SHE, blueprint strategy, code of conduct and Safety policy + Provide SHE / Governance technical leadership and coaching to operational teams (including SHE teams in the different business areas) + Supporting Site and department leadership teams in the SHE/governance strategy and actions, while ensuring any improvements implemented are standardized and sustained throughout the category. + Audit, analyse and report SHE/governance performance. + Liaise with external partners regarding SHE (auditing, local authorities and governmental agencies, regulatory boides etc) as official representative for the business and category + On call to support any site and department with SHE emergencies + Emglish and Spanish Advac Flexible Working Statement: Flexibility is key to our success.
