As the SHE Business Partner, you’ll help shape a workplace where safety, health, and sustainability are part of everyday thinking. You’ll collaborate with teams to make sure our practices not only meet legal requirements but also stay true to what we stand for as a company.
This role requires regular travel, with Townsville serving as the primary location. The SHE Business Partner will also be responsible for supporting operations across Rockhampton, Adelaide, Whyalla, and the WTC Melbourne site. As Townsville transitions from its current site to a new facility, the role will play a key part in ensuring continuity of SHE standards and services throughout the move and setup process.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Advisory & Compliance: Provide expert guidance on SHE matters, contribute to strategy development, and ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
Risk & Emergency Management: Conduct risk assessments, support hazard mitigation, and assist in emergency planning and statutory compliance across sites.
Training & Capability Building: Partner with L&D to deliver SHE training and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Incident & Injury Management: Lead investigations of incidents and near misses, coordinate corrective actions, and manage return-to-work strategies.
SHE Advocacy & Engagement: Champion Zero Harm behaviours, drive awareness through campaigns and events, and embed SHE values across the organisation.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration: Review procedures, analyse performance data, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance SHE systems and outcomes.
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships across all levels.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or mining environment.
Tertiary qualification in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
In-depth understanding of SHE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to risk management.
Current Drivers License
