We are excited to announce the upcoming opening of Hilton Arlington Rosslyn at The Key, a brand-new full service hotel in the vibrant Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington, VA, scheduled to open in Fall 2025. Currently under construction, this modern hotel will feature 331 guest rooms, 30,000 sq. ft. of event and meeting space, a lobby bar, a grab-and-go market proudly serving Starbucks coffee, and a third-party restaurant on-site. Owned and operated independently by Dittmar Company, an independent franchisee, the hotel will operate separately from Hilton Hotels and Resorts, while adhering to Dittmar's high standards of excellence.
We are seeking an experienced HR Director to join our team and play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a positive, productive workplace. The HR Director will oversee all HR-related tasks for both the hotel and restaurant operations, ensuring the smooth onboarding of new employees and fostering a welcoming and engaging environment for our staff.
Oversee recruitment and onboarding for the hotel’s opening and employee turnover, including restaurant staffManage employee benefits eligibility, tracking applicable dates and accrualsSupervise Hotel Open Enrollment and wellness programsManage the annual employee review process Manage and track approval of FMLAAudit and process weekly payroll for the hotel/restaurant to ensure accuracy and timelinessImplement company standards and departmental training to meet Dittmar and Hilton requirementsMandate and track hotel safety training, maintaining accurate recordsFile Workers' Comp and General Liability claims, ensuring proper documentation (witness statements, photos, etc.)Create and plan employee engagement events/programs such as monthly awards, luncheons, and associate roundtablesMaintain accurate payroll records, including pay rates, vacation balances, and work verificationsManage confidential employee files and databasesAssist with disciplinary procedures, acting as the second party in meetings alongside the hotel executiveFoster positive relationships with staff representatives and resolve employee grievances
Work Experience
Proven experience in HR management, preferably in the hospitality industryStrong knowledge of employment laws and regulationsExcellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationProficiency in HR software and payroll systemsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
