Johnson Service Group is recruiting a Buyer Contractor for a great client of ours in Palatka, FL. This is a 6-month+ contract and an onsite position in Palatka, FL 5 days a week!

Position Summary Description To provide support services to Supply Management Purchasing department fulfill purchasing department objectives, in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory guidelines. Serves as a support to all Supply Management Purchasing staff. Qualifications and Education Requirements Completed or working towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental, science, or similar degree. Process knowledge is a plus. Technical Competencies/Skills: General knowledge of office procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Soft Competencies/Skills: Effective verbal/nonverbal, listening and written communications Interpersonal Detail Oriented Planning Organization Time Management Essential Functions Issues Blanket-to-PO’s, scan and email to vendors and request confirmation. Issues Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) purchase orders, scan and email to vendors and request confirmation. Creates change orders and change requests as required. Assists in reconciling issues with vendors on blanket purchase orders such as pricing errors, quantity changes obsoleted parts and replacement MPN’s (Manufacturer Part Numbers). Follows up with vendors on past due purchase orders. Resolves Non-Conforming Material (NCM) issues related to blanket purchase orders. Trains to process small dollar purchase orders and procurement card requests. Expedites purchase orders as required.
