Position Summary: Primary responsibility is to operate, change/over and troubleshoot all equipment in assigned work area safely and within specifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

High School diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent Three (3) years’ experience in a related technical area. Meet all Essential Skills and Experience requirements for an Operator Level I, II and III. Two (2) years’ experience as Machine Operator at ZF Transmissions Gray Court, LLC, in the respective area. Strength in CNC machining functions, included but not limited, such as to grinding, drilling, milling, hard turning, honing, and deburring. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, e.g. hobbing, broaching, turning and gear cutting techniques and welding Understanding of metal hardening techniques including inductive hardening, and vacuum carbonating. Comprehension in CNC machine change over procedures. Demonstrated knowledge in CNC machine set up procedures. Demonstrate understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. Demonstrate understanding of PLC Program Logic. Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrated knowledge in Tool Setup Operations. Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
