Your Key Responsibilities Controls furnace to harden steel parts. Determines temperature and time of heating cycle and type and temperature of baths and quenching medium to attain specified hardness: Utilizes knowledge of hardening methods, equipment, and properties of steel Loads and unloads parts from furnace. May perform maintenance on furnace. Graph SPC readings on surface hardening of parts: Randomly sample parts each day Controls equipment used to carburize, quench and temper steel parts to obtain the desired properties: batch & carburizing furnaces, salt bathes, washes Must be able to pass a Vision Color Test for color blindness and sight. (must be able to identify red, green, blue, orange an brown) 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 3:00pm to 1:00am Your Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship Experience running machines Mechanical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Two plus years experience operating complex plant grinding machines Experience setting up machines or the equivalent formal technical education.
