Flavor Manufacturing Apopka’s (FMAp) Safety, Environmental and Security Manager is responsible for facility compliance with all relevant Federal, State, and local Environmental and Safety laws and regulations. The incumbent will lead and influence all team members with regards to a safe work environment while designing and implementing safe working procedures, maintaining KORE and government regulations, and supporting the on-site security team. This position is also responsible for the design, implementation and execution of programs and processes related to the safety and health of employees and our community. This role ensures FM’s mission is accomplished throughout the daily activities taking place at the Apopka, Florida Operation: “Flavor Manufacturing guarantees the continuous supply of cola and other proprietary flavors of unquestionable quality, while promoting a culture of safety, supporting innovation, creating value and protecting the Company’s most valuable trade secrets”.
What You’ll Do for Us
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure facility compliance with all relevant Federal, State, and County Environmental laws and regulations.Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements of The Coca-Cola Company including reporting through required Company channels.Effectively translate safety and environmental goals and objectives to all levels of the organization ensuring alignment on relevant performance data.Develop implementation strategies and ensure effective delivery of ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001 and The Coca-Cola standards.Plan, coordinate, and manage environmental programs including but not limited to stormwater pollution control, spill prevention and control, air pollution control, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, recycling, and reporting to state and local emergency planning.Design and deliver SES procedures and management system related training modules at New Hire Orientation, Annual Review, Specialty, Contractor, and Management.Coordinate and lead activities related to external audits, inspections, and visits from outside agencies and certification bodies related to safety, environmental and security.Manage contract security force to meet all Company and Flavor Manufacturing security requirements.Support operations with incident and near miss investigations and ensuring effective corrective actions.Seek, share and adopt ideas and best practices that embrace change introduced by others. Contribute to the continuous improvement process sharing innovative ideas, recommend new technologies, and report nonconformances.Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility or in a similar supply chain role with progressive senior positions. Knowledge of technical practices and programs used in the reduction of workplace hazards.Knowledge of manufacturing environmental and worker safety regulations.Availability to support the 24/5 facility as needed, including off hours by taking phone calls and reporting to the facility.Experience with ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, and GMP.Ability to interpret laws and regulations for application in a specialized manufacturing facility.Excellent writing skills and document management.Long and short-term planning. Organizing, leading changes, influencing and communicating widely.Ability to interact with government officials.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to influence change and manage stakeholder relationships.What We Can Do For You

$131,000 - $153,000Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
