ServiceNow Implementation Consultant – SAM Pro & HAM
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Consultant with deep expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) to lead the implementation and integration of these modules within our existing ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring and deploying SAM Pro and HAM, aligning them with ITAM/ITSM best practices, and ensuring seamless data and process integration and excellent client facing communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAM Pro and HAM modules in an existing ServiceNow environment.
+ Perform current-state assessments of asset management processes and define the desired future state.
+ Configure and customize ServiceNow to support software license compliance, optimization, reclamation, and lifecycle tracking.
+ Set up discovery integrations (SCCM, JAMF, etc.) and normalizations to support accurate asset data ingestion.
+ Build workflows, reports, dashboards, and SAM publisher packs (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle).
+ Implement automated software reclamation rules and hardware lifecycle tracking.
+ Integrate with third-party systems and data sources as required.
+ Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
+ Collaborate with IT, procurement, compliance, and security stakeholders.
+ Ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices, licensing rules, and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications:
+ Prior experience with ServiceNow platform implementation and configuration.
+ Previous hands-on experience with SAM Pro and/or HAM implementations.
+ Strong knowledge of software license models, discovery tools, and IT asset lifecycle.
+ Experience with integrations (e.g., SCCM, JAMF, Tanium, Flexera, or Snow).
+ Familiarity with CMDB structure and data models.
+ ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CIS–SAM, CIS–HAM, ITAM, or ITSM) strongly preferred.
+ Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, ITOM, and integration hubs.
+ Understanding of software publisher audits and compliance risk.
