Position Overview

The Corporate Applications Software Developer is a key contributor to the ISS STOXX Information Technology team and will have the opportunity to work across various application platforms and business teams. The position is a highly visible role and a key member of the ISS STOXX Information Technology team as ServiceNow is a mission critical application supporting ISS STOXX Global Helpdesk and PMO.  As this role is customer-facing, the candidate filling this position must be able to communicate well with co-workers and business teams. This role must be adoptive to various projects and platforms. 

The role shall use best SDLC practices to design, develop, test, and migrate within ServiceNow or integrated systems including Active Directory.  Java/J2E, Java Script, .Net, SQL, HTML, REST API, SOA & other web service methodologies to enhance, integrate and support our Corporate Application footprint are required.  In this role you will be required to interact with business analysts, developers across IT and business power users to understand their requirements, provide recommendations and create design specifications, develop, test and deploy code, prioritize work and develop innovative solutions.  Quality is key, as is the ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into a technical reality that is extendable and maintainable. 

Responsibilities

Participate in all aspects of project lifecycle with a primary focus on application design and software development.

Document, Design, develop, test, train, and deploy high quality business solutions for ServiceNow and integrated applications and/or databases.

Strong oral and written communication skills.  Has ability to gather and analyze requirements from users and translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Conduct day to day production activities, data maintenance, cleaning and verification in ServiceNow.

Assist in data imports/exports and maintain integrations to ServiceNow, AD, Salesforce and other internal applications.

Review and update of SQL/SOQL/Java scripts.

Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a multi-location team environment.

Identify and document tasks required for environment setup and technical activities required to implement and/or enhance applications.

Perform end to end testing of fixes/enhancements – execute unit and integration tests.

Coordinate with vendors access and/or tasks required to execute technical activities for projects.

Clearly communicate with other ISS teams regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions.

Leverage industry development best practices, frameworks and methods.

Possess a sense of urgency with real focus on delivery dates and project completion.

Comfortable working in an agile development environment with flexible processes and changing requirements.

Some project management and/or business analysis experience.

Ability to learn new concepts and business processes rapidly with the enthusiasm to drive new initiatives and projects forward.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and experience.

Minimum of 5+ years of IT work experience with at least two structured full life cycle development projects.

Must have 4+ years full-lifecycle software development experience.

Must have 3+ years’ experience with ServiceNow, ServiceNow Admin Certification and worked in CSM / ITSM / ITOM areas.

Must have implemented 7+ projects on the ServiceNow platform.

3+ years Java, J2EE, .Net and/or JavaScript programming.

3+ years of SQL.

3+ years in system applications defining software and hardware architecture, diagrams and recommendations on solutions.

3+ years writing requirements document and design documentation.

3+ years in Software development role writing code, conducting code reviews, utilizing configuration management tools.

Experience with software repository management tools such as Maven to support concurrent software development in a team environment.

Experience with advanced excel data analysis (Formulas, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s etc.)

Attention to detail and strong communication skills are a must.

Highly adaptable and collaborative professional with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, adhere to schedules, and proactively communicate potential issues; skilled in working across departments and with both technical and business stakeholders, with a strong enthusiasm for learning and applying new concepts to deliver effective, user-focused solutions.

Skilled in designing solutions that align with best business practices and user requirements, with the ability to quickly learn and integrate new development languages, understand complex data structures, and translate business needs into effective technical implementations.

ITIL Certification a plus.

Knowledgeable in SQL and Oracle platforms.

Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility, including adaptable working hours to support employees and customers across multiple time zones.

Work Shift and Arrangement

Embrace a dynamic work environment to work on a mid-shift (3PM-12AM or 4PM-1AM PHT).

Amenable to go on a hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days work onsite per week) and work in Makati City.
