Baghdad, IRQ | Hourly | Full Time RELYANT Global, LLC is seeking a Service Writer/Technical Inspector for a large contract in Iraq. The Service Writer/Technical Inspector plays a key role in ensuring efficient and effective maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment. This position is responsible for evaluating vehicle conditions, writing detailed service orders, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Responsibilities: + Serve as the primary liaison between vehicle operators, mechanics, and management. + Inspect vehicles and equipment for mechanical issues, damage, and wear. + Create accurate and detailed service requests/work orders based on inspections and operator input. + Review and verify completed maintenance and repair work for quality and completeness. + Track work orders, parts usage, and maintenance schedules in the maintenance management system. + Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols. + Communicate service status, repair recommendations, and completion timelines to stakeholders. + Assist with inventory control, ordering parts, and maintaining service records. + Provide technical guidance to mechanics when necessary. + Support audits, inspections, and readiness checks for vehicles and equipment. Skills and Qualifications: + High school diploma, GED or international equivalent. + 3+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance or technical inspection. + Familiarity with military or commercial vehicle systems. + Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. + Technical certification or military training in vehicle maintenance (ASE, MOS, etc.). + Experience working in government or defense contract environments. + CDL or equivalent heavy vehicle operation experience. + Ability to work in shop and field environments, including outdoor conditions. + May require lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. + Ability to work in austere or extreme environments.
