An exciting opportunity has become available for a Service Workshop Supervisor to join our Sydney team. Endress+Hauser Australia is made up of 120 dedicated employees across the country, with our national office located in Artarmon, Sydney, and additional offices in other key locations.
What is the role about?
Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor in Field Service operations? Are you Trade or Degree qualified in Electrical and/or Instrumentation disciplines? Are you passionate about leading and motivating a team? If so, this role is for you!
The Service Workshop Supervisor assists the Service Manager in the management and daily execution of workshop services including the supervision and training of an apprentice and the NSW based Field Service Engineers.
Which tasks will you perform?
Ensure strict adherence to WHS regulations across all workshop and field service operations in NSW. Provide leadership and oversight for both the workshop and NSW field service business, driving operational excellence. Continuously review and refine workshop systems and processes to maximise efficiency and productivity. Regularly conduct employee appraisals and develop tailored development plans to foster team growth and skill enhancement. Collaborate with the Service Supervisor to maintain an up-to-date database, manage proficiency testing as well as the successful distribution of national service messages. Take charge of managing and coordinating responses to customer support cases, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction. Serve as the lead engineer for the management of the NATA gas laboratory and proficiency testing, ensuring full compliance with NATA requirements. Prepare and deliver engaging internal and external (customer) service training programs. Perform all duties in accordance with the Spirit of Endress+Hauser and the company's Code of Conduct.
What do we expect from you?
Trade qualified in Instrumentation Restricted Electrical license is a minimum requirement for the role, however full electrical license is preferred Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity or someone able and willing to take the next step Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team Knowledge and a high level of competence in all aspects of industrial instrumentation, with an in-depth knowledge of Endress+Hauser instruments would be advantageous Resourceful and capable of working within tight timetables Excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft applications Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills To be able to work under pressure Ability to handle problems as and when they arise, sometimes several at once Driver’s license and ability to travel, essential Knowledge and application of WHS practices
