This Position reports to:

Senior Tendering Engineer

 

In this role, you will be responsible to support the sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area. The work model for this role is #LI-Onsite. This role is contributing to Electrification Business Area based in 10th Ramadan Cairo Egypt.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Supporting the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.Preparing / supporting in the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business/feeder factory indications, and Sales organization directives.Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through information from general market and the Sales organizationPerforming lost proposal analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales team/local business to obtain better future results.Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicates it to the Sales organization.Providing information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participates in the risk review assessmentEnsuring that Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and integrity requirements are integrated and are up to date in their respective business process(es) and applicationsParticipating in kick-off meeting organized by the project teamProviding technical support during technical meeting, product presentations, and negotiations and offers product/solution/service-related training.

Qualifications for the role:

You have bachelor’s degree in Power EngineeringYou have 2 to 5 years of experience in tendering or sales support for switchgears componentsPossess great communication skillsYou are at ease communicating in both English and Arabic
