Service Technician
Veralto
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Calibrate a range of meteorological sensors and instruments.
+ Diagnose and repair faulty devices to restore full functionality and accuracy in accordance with factory standards and technical specifications.
+ Perform functional and environmental tests to verify performance under simulated real-world conditions.
+ Maintain accurate and complete service documentation, including calibration certificates, service reports, and quality control records.
+ Ensure all calibration and repair activities comply with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal quality assurance protocols.
+ Use and maintain calibration standards and test equipment traceable to national or international standards (e.g., NIST, WMO).
+ Interface with engineering, R&D, and customer support teams to resolve product issues and recommend design or process improvements.
+ Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the calibration lab and repair area.
+ Participate in periodic audits and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and service efficiency.
**Qualifications:**
+ Technical diploma or associate degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Environmental Technology, or a related field.
+ 2+ years of experience in calibration, testing, or repair of scientific or meteorological instrumentation (preferred).
+ Solid understanding of sensors, signal conditioning, and basic environmental physics (pressure, temperature, wind, humidity).
+ Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, technical manuals, and calibration procedures.
+ Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Hands-on experience with sensors used in automatic weather stations.
+ ISO/IEC 17025 or traceability documentation experience.
