The Service Technician is responsible for the execution of the repair and maintenance work as agreed with the customer. The Technician will be responsible for customer satisfaction in the assigned market, is technically accountable and works well independently or together with ASP to address customer requests in an efficient and professional manner. This position reports directly to the Head of Service & Solutions and will operate daily out of the Brookshire TX facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for applicants for US Work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa. **Your main responsibilities:** + Dissembles/reassembles, inspects, trouble-shoots, repairs and replaces pump systems and accessors in shop or in a field service. + Ensure warranty claims are dealt with in a fair and timely manner for all parties concerned, ensuring that due process is followed and all necessary tasks are completed to ensure the traceability of jobs and hours allocated. + Ensure timely and accurate input and analysis of data through SAP and FAS so that issues are monitored and resolved as quickly and effectively as possible. + Accurately capture failure data and record all failures in standard Grundfos reporting tools and the FAS system. + Ensure quick turn around and reliability of repair of all serviced products. + Develop a continuous improvement approach to service repair and implement corrective actions. + Provide back-up support for the handling of incoming calls on service and technical inquiries. + Perform workshop equipment servicing when required. + Maintain a high level of customer communication with regard to open and pending service jobs. **Your background:** **We imagine that you have:** + A technical education, or knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering is preferred. + A minimum of 2 years of experience in the service industry or comparable environment. + Previous working experience with pump or rotating equipment is highly preferred. + Previous experience with SAP is highly preferred. + Knowledge of best practices and systems within the service environment. + The ability to travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites within the Southwest Region. **What’s in it for you?** Whether it’s developing leadership skills or advancing your expertise even further, we’ll support you with continuous learning and development opportunities, to help discuss and steer your long-term Grundfos career path.
