We are now looking for a Service Technician (4 Stroke) to join our Field Service of Marine team around the world working for a better future, and the preferred location of the position is in Niterói, Barreto, Brazil.
Main responsibilities:
• Perform overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke medium-speed engines. Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
• Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
• Assistance in creating the Service Work Reports.
• Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
• Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders.
• Continuously seek solutions according to best practices.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
• A safety-first mindset.
• A passion for developing your 4-stroke knowledge to the next level.
• A Technical degree in a relevant field (mechanics, automation, naval, or others).
• A completed or in-progress Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.
• English is needed at intermediary or advanced level.
• Technical experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul with practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.
• Interact professionally and deliver solutions to customers during the work execution.
• Experience with 4-stroke engines, preferably low and medium speed.
• Experience in working with electrical systems is a plus.
