In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated areas. You will also showcase your ability to build long-term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation – Energy division within blending team across India.
You will be mainly accountable for:Penetrates the installed base (IB) to promote upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions that benefit both customers and ABB, while expanding service presence.Prepares and reviews sales plans aligned with channel strategy, establishes pricing, and proposes recovery actions when necessary to meet targets.Identifies and develops new service sales leads by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and potential service portfolios to grow ABB’s market share.Represents ABB during marketing initiatives such as trade fairs, exhibitions, customer meetings, and campaigns to effectively promote service offerings.Builds and maintains strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and regulations, and by offering tailored technical service solutions that support Life Cycle Management (LCM).Regularly updates installed base data and sales activities in CRM, manages proposals and tenders, and tracks lead progress to maintain pipeline accuracy.Gathers and documents customer feedback to ensure satisfaction throughout the sales process, while contributing to risk assessments for pricing and quality.Converts customer requirements into appropriate ABB service solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical capabilities.Qualifications for the role:Bachelor’s degree in chemical /mechanical /Electrical / Instrumentation engineering from an accredited institution. 5+ years experiences in sales / service business development, account management and cross-selling across solution and product categories.Knowledge in Mechanical device, Modular Skid, Instrument and Valve, Electrical, Automation and Digitalization.Working experience in the field of Lubricants & grease, Paints & coatings, Pulp & paper Chemicals and specialty chemicals (adhesives etc.).Understanding of contract negotiation, framework agreement development and risk management.Solid reasoning ability, keen interest, solid initiative, consistency, determination, and stability. • Proficient in both written and spoken EnglishMore about us:The Energy Industries Division serves a wide range of industrial sectors, including hydrocarbons, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power generation and water.
