Service & Parts Custom Shop Operations and Logistics Manager

The Mopar Custom Shop Operations and Logistics Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional operations and logistics between three current suppliers, across nine locations. This role involves the strategizing and execution of Mopar Custom Shop processes and logistic flows to maximize capacity and throughput. The candidate will manage and grow $300M in annual sales of Mopar upfit accessories, aiming for double-digit growth. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Operations and Logistics: 

Maintain constant communication with Custom Shop suppliers to ensure proper operations within their assigned locations.  Ensure timely processing of vehicles.  Establish and maintain accurate upfit constraint details.  Review forecasting data to ensure demand is within constraints.  Lead communications between Custom Shops and Stellantis Logistics   Manage operations issues critically to minimize production disruptions. 

 

Process Improvement: 

Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to improve capacity.  Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including performance to capacity.  Ensure production targets are met.  Conduct regular performance reviews and corrective actions with Custom Shop locations.  Forecast resource needs and capacity uplifts required.  Maximize profitability through efficiency and continuous improvements. 

 

Sales and Business Development: 

Grow the team to better manage day-to-day operations.  Identify strategic growth plans across all locations, including all vehicle brands.  Maintain constant communication with Custom Shop suppliers to ensure proper operations.  Oversee a ~$20M annual operations budget across nine locations.  Challenge the status quo, discover, and champion best practice benchmarking and process improvement. 

 

People Leadership: 

Lead independent entrepreneurs to achieve higher levels of performance.  Build the team through strong collaboration, mentorship, trust, and mutual respect 

Basic Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Automotive Technology, or related field   8+ years' experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field Experience managing large team, holding them accountable & delivering tough messages Strong influencing and negotiation skills  Demonstrated ability to work across all areas in an organization  Advanced analytical skills  Willingness to travel: 30%
