Description
We are looking for a dynamic Service Manager to oversee and optimize logistic and fulfillment operations in Napa, California. This role involves managing purchasing processes, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the efficient use of resources to meet organizational goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain high-quality service and effective collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee procurement activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and budgetary constraints.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships to secure favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Implement and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure adequate stock availability.
• Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational performance.
• Lead, mentor, and train team members to develop skills and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and support organizational initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
• Utilize procurement software and tools to track, manage, and report on purchasing activities.
• Resolve any issues related to orders, invoices, or vendor performance in a timely manner.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or operations, with leadership experience being a plus.
• Strong understanding of budget management, buying processes, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems, procurement software, and data reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a focus on fostering vendor relationships.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor team members effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with industry-specific procurement practices, such as in the wine or logistics sector, is an advantage.
