Pay Rate: $25.68/hour (Set by Local 671 Teamsters Union Contract)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

About the Role:
The Service Employee maintains and fuels all school buses, activity, and commercial vehicles in conjunction with First Student’s Maintenance Department. You’ll handle fueling, fluid checks, record keeping, supply stocking, and light maintenance to keep our fleet running safely and smoothly. You’ll also help maintain our buildings and grounds as needed.
As a Service Employee, Your Major Responsibilities Will Include:
Opening the gates to the lot and checking bus parking areas to ensure all vehicles can be dispatched in a timely manner; repositioning any buses that may impede yard traffic
Maintaining accurate records and completing the Bulk Fuel Receiving Report, Fuel Variance Report, Month-End Closing Report, and Meter Calibration Report
Notifying the Location Manager or designee when a fuel delivery is required and ensuring accurate stick readings are taken before and after delivery
Checking and filling oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and belts on buses being fueled
Performing light interior and exterior maintenance on buses as required
Performing other tasks and management requests as assigned
Service Employee Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge of bus maintenance
Ability to learn maintenance skills
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason
