Service Coordinator

Role: Service Coordinator  

 

Salary: £31,099.00 per annum (pro-rata) 

 

Location:  Malvern, Worcestershire 

 

Contract/Hours: 30 hours a week – Permanent – Part Time – including 1 x day a week working from Malvern, the hours are 3 x days a week 2 x 7.4 hours and 1 x 7 hours. 

You must be able to work Mondays.

About the service 

Our Sunshine Family Hub play an essential role in giving children and families the early support they need.  We are open to your whole community on a regular basis. We work in partnership with other agencies such as health visitors, midwives, speech and language, and local schools. 

We help get children under 5 ready for school, and our services include: child and family health; parenting programmes and antenatal support; and ‘stay and play’ sessions.  Additionally, we support children and young people from 0 to 19 years old. 

We work in partnership with Starting Well to support families, parents, children and young people.  You will be working at Malvern Community Centre 1 x day a week.  

 

How you'll help to create brighter futures 

 

As a Service Coordinator you’ll be: 

 

Leading a dedicated team of Family Hub Navigators in delivering high-impact parenting programmes and community outreach.

Oversee data reporting and monitoring processes to support service development and evidence outcomes

Chairing internal team meetings and facilitate collaborative partnerships with external agencies.

Managing health and safety standards across the hub to ensure a safe supportive environment for families and staff.

Monitoring volunteering across the organisation, fostering meaningful participation and skills development.

Handling safeguarding incidents and oversee reporting procedures, ensuring timely, appropriate responses in line with regulatory and organisational standards.

 

Let's talk about you  

 

As a Service Coordinator you’ll Ideally you have:  

Level 3 or above in a related subject, Health and Social Care, Education, Youth Work. 

Advanced experience of service planning meetings. 

Experience of the development and practice of community working.

Producing clear, concise written reports.

Competent in the use of the Microsoft Suite.

To prioritise workload, including subordinate staff to achieve and deliver within agreed timescales.  

Significant working and educational knowledge and understanding of childcare legislation and safeguarding requirements. 

To support with the management of a service and manage and develop subordinate staff or a team. 

Flexibility in work arrangements including travel.
