Service Coordinator

Role: Service coordinator

Salary: up to £31,900 per annum dependant on experience and qualifications

Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire

Contract/Hours: Permanent Part-time 17 hrs per week 1 full day on a Wednesday and Thursday and ½ day Friday. Please note we can have some flexibility on the hrs and are happy to discuss this at interview.

A bit about the role:

Kingfishers is a supported housing project for 18- to 25-year-olds with learning disabilities, based in Ebley, Stroud.

At Kingfishers, we help young people with learning disabilities transition safely into adulthood and get on with their lives. Our dedicated team treats each young person as an individual.

We help them gain skills they need - both in work and socially - to live confident, independent lives or with others in local communities.

As a Service coordinator, you will be part of the senior leadership team and help lead in the day to day running of the home ensuring that the young people are in a safe supporting environment required to nurture their needs. The current Co-ordinator you will work with has been here for 28 years. They will provide you with their knowledge and facilitate training to provide you with the appropriate knowledge for the role. This role is a shared role you will work alongside our current coordinator

· Manage and lead a team of professional social care staff.

· Create a strong and high achieving team.

· Liaise with our key Stakeholders within and outside Action for Children.

· Support the Registered Manager in data collection and analysis.

· Deputise in the Managers absence

Let's talk about you.

Our job description at the bottom of the advert outlines the requirements of the service coordinator role but the ‘must-haves' are: 

· Level 4 in Residential care (or recognised equivalent) and working towards

· Experience of working with young people.

· Multi-agency environment and achieving positive outcomes through intervention.

· Flexibility to work on shift when required and cover on call.

· Delivery of service user needs assessment, ensuring accurate and update retention of information

· Experience of demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and an ability to promote the wellbeing and welfare of young people.

· Demonstrable integration of equality and diversity into practice and service delivery.

· Experience of supervising and supporting a staff team

- Wednesday 27th August for an informal gathering with all candidates to meet young adults and the current Co-ordinator

- Monday the 1st of September 2025 for the formal interviews.
