Alfa Laval South Africa is looking for a passionate and eager Supervisor: Service Centre Technician III for Service Operation Division in the Middle East & Africa Based at Johannesburg.

Job Description

Perform SC task- Rotating and Hex Insure proper housekeeping Be engaged in problem resolution in current tasks Insure training of the SC interns Ensure Service reports are completed and submitted Ensure the highest quality workmanship Excellent knowledge of repair process/product/applications Monitor processes and performance in the team/shift with focus on waste elimination. Act as a link between the team, support functions and Team Manager. Develop the key processes and tools within the team. Close competence gaps by training/coaching and running SOP audit dialogues. Control quality, deviations and service execution stops together with Team Manager. When needed support team members with immediate problem solving. Support and participate in problem solving and knowledge sharing with other service organizations in ALOptional: coordinate, plan and support the daily work of the team/shift Share knowledge and support in competence development. Engaged in 5S, safety and quality  Minimize number of workshop hours. Develop and inform him/herself

Qualification & Experience

Experience:

General

Minimum 2 years in managing a workshop and leading a team of 5+ Knowledge of MS Office Crane operation Rigging Forklift Experience in rotating equipment -Decanters -High speed separator -Pumps Knowledge of HSEQ regulations Experience in GPHE/Hex units Chemical safe handling Working on heights

Millwright

Experience in    - Electrical fault finding

ABB VFD and soft starters on R&B control systems Panel fault finding Control system upgrade

Fitter and turner

Experience in

MIG and Tig welding Balancing and operating of balancing machine Operating of manual lathe

Education and/certifications:

Trade or Red seal in Millwright or Fitting and turning (min. 5 years qualified) Driver’s license (min. 3 years qualified) Optional: Forklift license Crane license Rigging -10 ton
