What is the opportunity?

This Service Associate will support the Entitlements Canadian Operations, WM Asset Servicing team. Working in a collaborative, dynamic and high-performing environment, this individual will face challenging yet rewarding opportunities.

What will you do?

Processing client requests in various capacities, as related to entitlement operations. Placing a priority on answering client inquiries, mitigating escalations and always meeting SLAs.Continuously analyzing process workflows to identify opportunities for improvement of operational efficiencies. Ensure all processes maintain operational risk thresholds, escalating discrepancies immediately upon discovery.Timely settlement of cash entitlements on sec lending activity with external counterparties and internal accounts. Ultra-high degree of accuracy required for verifying claim details and values before processing settlements.Liaison with business/operations partners where needed. Timely reconciliation and resolution of funds outstanding due to sometimes complex operational circumstances.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

Relevant industry experience of 2 to 5 years, or educational equivalentReconciliation and balancing of funds, under time sensitive deadlinesSound knowledge of Income allocation and executing cash movements (i.e., long/ short positions or credit/ debit balances). Experience with executing cash wires, generally through an applicationExceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and an Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access skillsProblem solving skills and willingness to take on extra initiativesExcellent organizational and time management skillsHigh client service focusExcellent communication/analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task and work with various competing priorities and timelines.Risk Management and mitigation focus mindset

Nice to Have

            ***Preferred Candidate will have***

Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC)Experience in similar role, Corporate Actions or Entitlement Operations related within the financial industryExperience using financial operation systems and interfaces such as:Broadridge Financial ServicesCDSX, DTCCCash wire applications

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, specifically database creations for automation initiatives requiring VBA writing knowledge
