ChristianaCare is currently seeking a Full-Time Service Assistant I to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you’ll help ensure the safe and timely transport of patients throughout our hospital — making a meaningful difference in their care journey.

🕒 Schedule:

6:00 PM - 2:30 PM40 hours per weekRequires working every other weekend Includes holiday rotation

Safely transport patients via stretcher, wheelchair, bed, or specialized vehicleRespond to transport and equipment requests from dispatchers and clinical staffInteract with patients, families, and healthcare professionals with empathy and professionalism

2+ years of customer service experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMust obtain BLS certification upon hireAbility to meet physical demands (standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling)Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and infection control

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
