Service Application Engineer

**BASIC FUNCTION:**
The Service Engineer will provide customer technical support for post sales products and applications. The role is a balance of technical support and data-driven process improvement, making it suitable for someone with strong organizational and communication skills, technical aptitude, and analytical skills.
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:**
+ Technical Support: Provide post-sales technical support for products manufactured by Crane Pumps & Systems.
+ Resolve issues via multiple channels: phone, email, Teams meetings, or in-field troubleshooting.
+ Interface with other resources for expedited problem resolution.
+ Troubleshooting: Actively troubleshoot products to identify and solve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
+ Training Support: Assist with product service training, both in-house and in the field.
+ Warranty Data Analysis: Lead the analysis of warranty data using Crane Business System tools to identify trends and areas for improvement.
+ Continuous Improvement: Utilize insights from warranty data analysis to drive continuous product and process improvements. Communicate findings and make recommendations to CP&S team.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:**
+ BS degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
+ Three years of technical background (engineering, assembly, maintenance, or repair) preferred.
+ Problem-Solving: Ability to approach technical problems with the most effective troubleshooting methods and solutions.
+ Product/Application Knowledge: Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of:
+ Products manufactured by Crane Pumps & Systems.
+ Electrical wiring, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical/electronic panel equipment.
+ Pump systems/application in the field.
+ Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics
+ Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and follow up on outstanding issues. Must be able to analyze data and write reports based on findings. Strong attention to details.
+ Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams. Ability to maintain positive and constructive relationships internally and externally, even under difficult circumstances
+ Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, excel, etc.)
+ Ability to travel – up to 20% of the time depending on need
