Fairview is looking for a Service and Product Assistant at Southdale Medical Center in Edina, Mn. This is a .8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks) dayshift position and will require you are able to work every pther weekend. This position is a member of the SEIU union. We believe the hours for this role will be 5:00 am - 1:30 pm Wednesday - Sunday week one and Wednesday - Friday Week two. Receive, deliver, replenish, clean and maintain supplies/equipment/linen/forms including: stat room, patient rooms, inventory locations, and other areas, as appropriate. **Responsibilites:** + Assist with maintaining adequate inventory levels of equipment and supplies. + Understanding of inventory control concepts with the ability to calculate par levels and adjust levels as vital. + Coordinate the delivery of items arriving at the dock. + Assemble, apply/remove, and accurately tag/transmit, and log into computer. + Assure that excess inventory in totes is accounted for, detailed, and accurately routed. Perform gross decontamination of instruments, clean, rinse, and accurately route utensils. + Decontaminate and clean patient care equipment such as, but not limited to: IV pumps' sequential compression devices; syringe pumps, warmers, respiratory care equipment, blood pressure apparatus, walkers, commodes, orthopedic apparatus, case carts, etc. + Answer telephones as needed. + Other duties as requested and required **Required Qualifications:** + Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
