SEO Strategist (Remote)
Our healthcare is looking for **SEOStrategist** **Contract Strategist, SEO (Technical + Content)** **Remote - Eastern hours** **Duration: 3+ months** **Rate: $45/hr on W2** We’re looking for a well-rounded SEO strategist to support our team on a contract basis-someone with deep technical SEO expertise and strong on-page and content optimization skills. Youll collaborate closely with our internal SEO team to identify, execute, and support strategies that enhance organic visibility, crawlability, and user experience across enterprise-level websites. This role includes both strategy and hands-on execution. Your contributions will directly impact the success of client initiatives across technical infrastructure, content quality, and keyword targeting. **Core Responsibilities** **- Technical SEO** + Conduct technical SEO audits, including crawl analysis, indexing, canonicalization, internal linking, site speed, structured data, and mobile usability + Develop prioritized recommendations to improve site architecture, template performance, and crawl behavior + Monitor and diagnose technical issues using tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, and similar platforms + Collaborate with developers and internal teams to QA and validate technical fixesContent SEO + Content SEO + Perform keyword research aligned with client goals, audience intent, and the competitive landscape + Create content briefs, optimize existing content, and identify new content opportunities based on gaps and trends + Provide metadata, header structure, structured data, and internal linking recommendations + Analyze content performance based on KPIs such as rankings, CTR, and engagement + Cross Functional Support + Work with internal SEOs, writers, analysts, and strategists to align technical and content efforts + Document findings clearly and contribute to team knowledge-sharing + Stay up-to-date on algorithm changes, emerging tools, and best practices across both technical and content disciplines **Desired Experience and Skills** + 2-plus years of SEO experience, with B2B and healthcare experience preferred + Mastery of core SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, ahrefs, SEMrush, BrightEdge, DeepCrawl, etc.) + Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, etc.) + Strong understanding of HTML; working knowledge of JavaScript and CSS preferred + Solid grasp of content strategy principles, from keyword targeting to on-page structure and optimization + Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and recommend next steps + Progressive understanding of the interrelationship between SEO and other digital channels **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience within healthcare industry + Familiarity with local SEO best practices (Google Business Profile, structured data, citations) + Previous agency or contractor experience preferred + Experience with AI-assisted content workflows or SEO automation tools is a plusIf this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
