Job Description: SEO Intern (Co-Op) Position Title: SEO Intern (Co-Op) Department: Digital Transformation & CXEC (Digital Engagement Team) Reports To: SEO Manager Duration: August 2025 - December 2025 Key Responsibilities: + **Conduct Keyword Research:** Assist in identifying relevant and high-performing keywords for various pet health topics and product categories supporting our brand growth plans (BGPs). + **Perform On-Page SEO Analysis** : Help analyze website content, meta descriptions, title tags, and internal linking structures for optimization opportunities. + **Support Technical SEO Audits:** Assist in identifying and troubleshooting technical SEO issues (e.g., crawl errors, sitemap issues, page speed) through Jira. + **Analyze Competitor SEO Strategies:** Research and report on competitor SEO tactics to identify new opportunities. + **Monitor SEO Performance:** Help track and report on key SEO metrics using tools like Brightedge, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO platforms. + **Assist with Content Optimization:** Support the optimization of existing and new website content for search engines. + **Participate in Link Building Initiatives:** Learn about and contribute to ethical link building strategies, collaborating closely with PR teams. + **Collaborate:** Work cross-functionally with content, web development, brand and other internal/ external teams. Qualifications & Skills: + Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field. Open to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. + Strong interest in digital marketing and a foundational understanding of SEO principles. + Understanding of coding languages (HTML, CSS and Javascript). + Familiarity with the Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Gmail etc.) + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. + A passion for pets is a plus! **Compensation and Benefits** Salary Range $20.00 - $24.50 USD Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles. Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements.
