Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Staff Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and supports the Sentinel program.

The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Systems Engineer to join the Flight Test Design Review Campaign team. The successful candidate will support the planning, tracking, and execution of Flight Test Design Reviews.  The candidate will join a broader program team working to ensure Sentinel program readiness for and the execution of the Flight Test Campaign.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: 

Perform technical planning, support design reviews develop tools to communicate and track action items internally and with our customerCollaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifactsWork with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature content both internally and externallyConduct pre-review assessments to ensure readiness prior to formal design review

Basic Qualifications

Requires 12 years of relatable work experience with Bachelors Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM); 10 years with a Masters; or 8 years with a PhDMust be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need9 years experience in systems engineering5 years of experience executing Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) on large scale complex systems5 years experience analyzing large complex systems

Preferred Qualifications

ICBM experienceFlight test experience on missile systemsExperience with the Systems Engineering V-modelExperience with requirements management tools such as DOORSExperience with model based systems engineering (MBSE)Experience with hardware and/or software design

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
