Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a **Staff Logistics Engineer.** This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division.
**What you’ll get to do:**
The candidate will perform logistics related analysis and maintenance planning of the GBSD platform. The candidate will influence system design to enhance supportability and utilize engineering data from various sources to determine logistics requirements.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Review field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment.
+ Establish calibration requirements for systems/equipment including all operations and maintenance tasks.
+ Perform maintenance and maintainability planning and documentation
+ Review handbooks for technical adequacy
+ Assist in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
+ Life Cycle Cost Analysis
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 12 Years with Bachelors in Science; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 years), with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
+ Must have experience planning and overseeing site surveys
+ Must have experience developing, managing, and delivering spare parts plans
+ Must have experience in environmental/deployability/maintainability reporting
+ Must have experience in system activation, logistics, and demil planning
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's degree
+ Bachelor's degree in logistics related field with experience in mobility and load planning.
+ General knowledge/experience of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting Regulations
+ Experience with modeling life cycle cost for large/complex systems
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Experience in Cost Data Analysis and Predictive Analytics; Tableau & Alteryx’ Experience with data mining/analytics programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or BA

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Primary Level Salary Range: $122,600.00 - $184,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
