Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Pr. Supplier Manufacturing Engineer - 15708.  This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

The selected candidate will support and maintain the process and use of the Standard Request for Change/Information (SRC/I) tool in support of engineering change management in multiple environments. The selected candidate will use prior experiences in manufacturing and supplier integration to adhere to best practices in change management. The selected candidate will facilitate training, awareness, process creation, user help, and dispositioning of RC/I’s within the SRCI tool.
 

The selected candidate will assist with supplier’s understanding of Northrop Grumman’s design, manufacturing, and quality requirements. Becoming a subject matter expert in the resolution of manufacturing issues when conforming to requirements. The individual will have a working knowledge of manufacturing engineering (ME) processes, assessing supplier capabilities & capacities, Supplier Corrective Action Reporting (SCAR), supplier tooling, Automatic Bid List Enabler (ABLE) codes, Product Release Documents (PRD), Request for Proposals (RFP), and supplier technical support.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

Evaluate and develop current processes for SRC/I & Supplier Manufacturing Engineering (S.ME).

Develop, train, maintain, and enforce procedures and standards for SRC/I Helpdesk activity amongst stakeholders.

Collaborate with Sentinel Manufacturing Leads, Engineering Leads, Functional Leads, and IPTs.

Integrate with other sectors to ensure SRC/I Help Desk & S.ME process is following corporate standards and digital environment requirements.

Assist software team with testing & integration implementation of SRC/I to upstream/downstream digital connections

The selected candidate will assist with supplier understanding of Northrop Grumman’s design, manufacturing, and quality requirements.

Becoming a subject matter expert in the resolution of manufacturing issues when conforming to requirements and change control.

Provide working knowledge of manufacturing related fabrication processes.

The individual will assess supplier capability, capacity, and criticality along with input for supplier proposals.

Technical support for suppliers pertaining to manufacturing builds and supplier tooling.

Perform stakeholder reviews for product release documents (PRD) including Automatic Bid List Enabler (ABLE) code assignments.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science with at least 8 years of relevant work experience; Master's Degree with at least 6 Years of relevant work experience; PhD with 4 Years of relevant work experience.

Must have an U.S. Government DoD Interim Secret security clearance prior to start with ability to attain Secret clearance.

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

Experience in a manufacturing setting using RC/I or equivalent change control process.

Experience working with suppliers, supplier management, and global supply chain.

Ability to develop and document standards, processes, and procedures.

Experience communicating with cross-functional teams and upper management.

Experience in multiple manufacturing fabrication types (welding, water jet, 3D printing, sheet metal, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with change management tools.

Experience in multiple manufacturing materials (metallic, composite, plastic, etc.)

Experience with supplier management teams and tools.

Experience with digital production planning tools and functions.

Proven leader, problem solver, and possess a strong work ethic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to work closely with teammates, stakeholders, and internal/external management.

Experience with start-up programs and process establishment.

Ability to perform in a niche environment independently.

Salary Range: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
