This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Successful candidate will join a team supporting day to day operations while being responsible for leading a team of at least 8-15 employees. This role requires a pro-active individual willing to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment. A good team focus and willingness to multi-task is important in this role.
In this position, as a Project Manager 3, you could be supporting an experienced and diverse team responsible for Program Increment planning, Capital project planning and execution, cost and schedule management, employee SAP access, external partner onboarding, program and business unit reviews, risk and opportunity reviews and defining processes and procedures for the area you are assigned. As responsibilities span across a diverse set of stakeholders, this leader will be expected to collaborate effectively and partner across organizations – IPTs, Communications, Site Operations, and Program Leadership just to name a few, while ensuring day to day functions of the organization assigned to execute mission objectives.

Review status of projects and Earned Value performance; manage schedules and prepare status reports. 

Assesses project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Support sub-contracting effort either via IWO or supplier. Help support risk and opportunity management for the team. Help organize and plan out summit meetings and develop agendas with the assistance of engineering team. Integrate yourself with other project managers on other IPTs. Work closely with Engineering team and Global Supply Chain (GSC) to translate engineering needs to PO generation. Support leadership with supplier deliverable timelines and PO execution  Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks. 

Basic Qualifications:

Project Manager:

Bachelors degree and 2 years of related experience; Master's degree and 1 year of related experience or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degreeMust have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope1 year of leadership related experience.1 year of experience in a project related field.

Principal Project Manager:

Bachelors degree and 5 years of related experience; Master's degree and 3 years of related experience, PhD with 1 year experience or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degreeMust have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope1 year of leadership related experience.1 year of experience in a project related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employee and management. PMP Certification In scope active DoD Top Secret clearance Experience with Special Program Access S/4 (SAP)   Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) Experience with Agile Project Management Exceptional analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills Experience working within a multi-team environment. Experience with schedule management, risk management and performance management Experience with earned value management knowledge in a program management capacity. Experience managing cost and schedules.   Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills  

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
