Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Test Engineering Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.

The successful candidate will join the System Test Organization as the senior manager of the LSS (Launch Support System) – a critical launch coordination and safety control system required for Sentinel first flight and all subsequent launches. This responsibility will include control account manager (CAM) duties, strategic planning, risk management, project performance, schedule, technical quality, and operations.
Essential Functions Include:
Program execution – oversee hardware & software development, deliver validated/tested LSS system capability, perform system sell-off.
Supervision/management of ~50 (composite team of engineers spanning hardware, software, specialty, system integration, test, and technical operations).
Perform as control account manager (CAM), manage and deliver consistent EVM performance.
Performance of several future design changes, fielding multiple configurations, delivery & operations at multiple sites.
Communicate and collaborate across segments and with all levels of leadership.
Conduct and maintain excellent customer relations, manage customer expectations, identify and perform trades.
Provide horizontal integration across program segments and elements.
Navigate ambiguity, apply a systematic approach/strategy to solve problems.
Understand and drive efficient resolution to technical & business problems.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; Master's degree and 6 years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Minimum of 3 years in formal management position.
Minimum of 3 years leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either a project lead, integrated program team or control account manager.
Strong/demonstrated project management skills, EVM, business acumen.
Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.
Demonstrated knowledge & competence in system development, integration, test principles, and test plan development at any level of build (unit, sub-system, system, etc.).
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 10 years’ experience, or Master’s and 8 years’ experience, supporting US Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
Previous ICBM Experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience on a DoD program and multiple phases of acquisition.
Knowledge and experience using CAMEO and/or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Principles.
Experience using DOORS Requirements Management Database.
Experience in managing customer relations, direct customer interaction, alpha style trades and negotiations.
Experience developing and fielding delivered systems.
Experience developing and verifying system/subsystem requirements.
Experience developing and testing software.
Strong networking skills – ability to work vertically (all levels of leadership) and laterally (across segments/teams).
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance and Sentinel Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance.
Salary Range: $146,800.00 - $220,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
