Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Digital Ecosystem Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Manager 3 on the Sentinel Systems Engineering team located in Roy, UT or Manhattan Beach, CA.

What You’ll Get To Do:
In this role you'll be the systems engineering authority for DE SEIT, directing the full life-cycle of systems engineering, ensuring all capabilities for the digital ecosystem are met, and acting as mentor for junior engineers. This position will support the SDS division-level Digital Ecosystem, defining the technical baseline for the Sentinel and division-level capabilities. Ideal candidates should:
• Have experience with the software development lifestyle
• Have experience specifically with the “right side” of the systems engineering V
o Understand test and verification
o Understand how to leverage MBSE artifacts to streamline Test and Verification (or willing to learn from the CE)
o Can coach others on the verification process
• Know how to manage and work with a variety of skill levels and backgrounds including those outside of SE (Infrastructure, SW Engineers, etc..) to include subcontractors
• Be experienced with MBSE
• Be capable of managing a distributed team
• Be capable of directing suppliers and ensuring the team can assess the products for quality and meeting the needs of the requirements
• Be comfortable working closely with the customer, keeping them in lock step throughout the selloff process
• Be willing to travel to Utah frequently
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 8 or more years of related experience
• 2 years of experience with financial control and maintenance of budgets (including EVMS indices and Variance Explanations)
• 3+ years in a formal management role
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with Agile methodologies and practices
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Science Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
• 3+ years leading execution of systems engineering products
• Strong understanding of systems engineering best practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Intermediate to expert in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• The ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, work autonomously under general direction and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience understanding and disseminating program processes across multiple sub-product teams
• Experience managing suppliers/subcontractors to include developing SOWs and other contractual documents
• Experience in People and Technical Leadership roles
• Decision Making: Risk Management, Cost-Risk-Benefit Analysis
• Experience with working with government/military personnel at government/military facilities
