Join us. **Job Description** **The Opportunity** As a part of our continued growth, AECOM is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Treatment Engineer to join our dynamic British Columbia Water Team. Based from one of our 3 offices in British Columbia, this role focuses on developing engineering solutions in the field of water treatment that comply with all local, provincial, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a passion for advancing water treatment technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead the modeling and simulation of water treatment processes, utilizing advanced computational tools and techniques. + Ensure designs comply with all applicable environmental regulations and standards. + Conduct assessments and identify areas for improvement in existing water treatment systems. + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative water treatment solutions. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff. + Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and documentation for regulatory submissions. + Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, clients, and community members, to discuss project developments and compliance matters. + Assist with the planning and pursuit of new business opportunities. + Uses creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented technical problems. + Provides visible industry and technical leadership within and outside of AECOM **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education in water treatment engineering, with a focus on developing client focused solutions while achieving modeling and regulatory compliance + Registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of BC (or eligible to become registered within 12 months) **Preferred Qualifications:** + 20+ years of experience in water treatment engineering, with a focus on developing client focused solutions while achieving modeling and regulatory compliance + Strong knowledge of water quality standards, treatment processes, and environmental regulations. + Experience understanding client challenges and developing practical engineering solutions. + Master's degree in related field or demonstrated experience + Advanced knowledge of water treatment processes, technologies, and industry best practices + Expertise in water treatment modeling software and data analysis tools + Strong understanding of local, provincial, and federal regulations related to water treatment and quality + AWWA certifications or other relevant water treatment specialties preferred + Travel as needed for project site visits and client meetings. **Additional Information** Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
