Summary of This Role

Manages the administration of the company's financial strategy. Oversees activities related to the management of funds, securities, and assets of the company. Plans, organizes, and directs financial and accounting activities and policies, including the management of general ledgers, financial planning, fiscal procedures, treasury, cost control, and investment studies and analyses. Provides tax, insurance, earnings, and other reports required by governmental regulations. Reviews, analyzes, and interprets financial and budgetary reports. Directs aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. Oversees the development of financial accounting systems, policy, and procedure required to maintain reporting requirements.

What Part Will You Play?

Constructs budgets and forecasts in collaboration with managers and group executives to align to the strategic plan. Ensures accuracy of costs and monitors progress against targets. Challenges costs as appropriate and implements efficiencies with each cycle. Communicates budgets and forecasts to cost center and division managers. Handles confidential information relating to future events to be included in budgets and forecasts. Directs the primary revenue planning system for the corporation in the role of business owner. Interprets complex problems and solves them through established procedures (i.e., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)) relating to revenue recognition and internally developed software and leases. Makes recommendations to executive management for action or changes to established methods. Adapts known methods to new situations as business needs change. Conducts technical research and analysis of accounting treatment.Contributes to the preparation of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting including setting targets, reviewing results and providing interpretation of results and variances in line with corporate goals and strategy. Supports executive management and the external reporting team in preparing for quarterly and annual reporting. Reviews and contributes information used in earnings call presentations, Analyst Day events, and Security Exchange Commission (SEC) filings. Liaises with external accounting firms on financial statements. Completes various other statutory reporting. Directs the production of consolidated monthly financial report packages while ensuring reports are consistent with accounting policies. Develops ad-hoc reports and analysis from various systems and interprets results for management decision making. Evaluates and recommends more effective ways to report our results based on expectations and observations of corporate and industry trends. Interacts with representatives of each business segment to acquire information about their financial performance and goals.




 Manages multiple special projects and cross functional teams across business segments and other company subsidiaries and affiliates while adhering to strict deadlines.


 Develops financial systems and provides guidance to teams undertaking process improvements to deliver continuous improvement in management information and reporting of financial statements. Improves the level of financial control on revenue recognition in line with GAAP and ensures compliance with statutory audit requirements. Leads the accounting and estimating departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Evaluates financial tools, process improvement techniques and trends to ensure the company maximizes its ability to grow and operate efficiently and effectively. Provides guidance in developing implementation plans for new tools or processes and defining resource requirements based on the strategy. Acts as a subject matter expert on set-up and business process design decisions. Serves as an escalation point to resolve conflicts that may impact multiple business segments as change is implemented.
 Contributes to periodic pricing actions to the existing portfolio. Drives revenue optimization by participating in strategy setting and providing recommendations to senior leadership. Provides guidance and financial expertise to develop a wide range of business cases for new customer product initiatives, internal IT programs, and business process improvements. Provides analytical support across multiple areas and decision making levels of the company. Participates in the pricing committee, provides sales support, and identifies new sources of revenue.



 Collaborates with Sales, Client Relations and Legal teams to establish and maintain standard contract language regarding payment terms, methods of payment, late fees and disputes. Reviews and provides feedback on contract drafts that contain unique and/or unusual agreement terms.Establishes and manages policies and processes relating to financial activities for the company and its subsidiaries. Ensures adherence to accounting policies and procedures across the enterprise. Ensures that policies, procedures and controls are documented and in place to meet internal and external audit requirements, including compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.Directs monthly and quarterly accounting close processes to include financial statement reviews and internal financial reporting of results. Adheres to general accounting principles, interprets and solves complex business issues, and manages the process to ensure focus on critical tasks and issues during close. Leads monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliations, and ensures International Standards Organization (ISO) residual data is accurate and complete.Not an exhaustive list; other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's DegreeRelevant Experience or Degree in: accounting, finance or related degree or qualifying certification (CPA, CMA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA Certification)Typically a minimum of 10 yearsrelated professional experience including a minimum of 5-6 years experience in a managerial position.


Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degreerelated field of study from an accredited university.Prior Global Payments, payment or technology industry experience is preferred.CPA/CMA or other relevant certification
