Key Responsibilities
Architect and lead the implementation of advanced voice solutions including VoIP, SIP trunking, UCaaS, and cloud-based telephony.Leverage deep knowledge of the Comcast Voice network to optimize integration, performance, and reliability.Ensure voice systems comply with industry regulations (FCC, CPNI, CALEA, STIR/SHAKEN, etc.) and internal governance standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align voice architecture with business goals and enterprise infrastructure.Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and best practices.Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in the voice industry, including AI-driven voice services, 5G, and edge computing.Lead migration strategies from legacy platforms to modern, cloud-native voice environments.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and operations teams.Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex voice-related issues across platforms.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.8+ years of experience in voice architecture or engineering roles.Extensive experience with Comcast Voice network architecture, protocols, and operational models.Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP), PBX systems, and cloud voice platforms (e.g., Cisco Webex, AWS Connect).In-depth knowledge of voice industry regulations including STIR/SHAKEN, CALEA, CPNI, and FCC compliance.Experience with network infrastructure and QoS for voice traffic.Familiarity with AI/ML applications in voice (e.g., speech analytics, conversational AI).Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
