What will you be doing in this role:
The Senior Visual designer focuses on enhancing user happiness by improving usability, accessibility, and interaction between the user and Cedars-Sinai digital products and services. In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Team and the Consumer Digital Design Team, they focus on creating seamless, meaningful, and beautiful brand experiences. Their work influences the entire process of designing and producing the product, including branding, UX/UI design, usability testing, QA, production, and design system design engineering. With the understanding of the profound impact that design can have on patient experience, the incumbent will work alongside senior designers and the Digital Design Director to design intuitive digital solutions, create sophisticated design components, and implement the interface using expertise in visual design, user experience, and design systems.
Collaborates with senior designers, product managers, developers, website team, and business collaborators to implement the design process for consumer-facing digital marketing communications.Presents design concepts and clearly articulates ideas to fellow design team members, and Marketing leadership.Possesses a high attention to detail and solves a range of design challenges with mentorship from senior designers.Creates a wide variety of UX UI results that fit the specific design challenge, including – whiteboard sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.Assists in driving responsive designs that improve the user's experience on desktop and mobile devices.Conducts independent research and competitive analysis on multiple aspects of products and experiences from a UI, UX, and product perspective.Creates design assets and prototypes for design research and usability testing.Creates process and user flows, wireframes, information architecture maps, journey maps, and interaction models, resulting in low to high-fidelity prototypes.Designs within existing standards to contribute to the internal design system and supports the growth and maintenance of the design system.Creates high-fidelity design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with technology colleagues.Produces several high-fidelity design solutions based on the design challenge or product/user goals.Applies design thinking methodologies and processes to identify user problems, generate design solutions, and iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing.Intermediate level proficiency with Figma.Possesses strong design and branding fundamentals.Creates compelling editorial layouts.Designs and builds Marketing landing pages for campaigns.Balances creative campaigns and design system maintenance for web and email.Strongly cross-collaborates with Marketing and Product teams.Excels across all digital marketing channels.*Approved Remote States: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas*
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Five (5) plus years of proven experience in UI/UX design, concept development, building and shipping products (web, mobile apps, responsive designs), building and maintaining design systems, gained from working in an innovation agency, startup, tech company or large organization.
Motion Skills are a plus.
Market trend analysis, competitor analysis, UI/UX tear downs.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, Product Design, or a related field is preferred.
