Senior Vendor Management Professional

 The Senior Vendor Management Professional works as liaison between vendors and organization. The Senior Vendor Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Where you come in

The Senior Vendor Management Professional acts as the primary liaison between vendors and the Provider Process and Network Operations (PPNO)organization. This role involves reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts, building and maintaining positive vendor relationships, and monitoring vendor performance. The Senior Vendor Management Professional researches invoices and contractual issues, resolves discrepancies, and develops departmental strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

Create and manage aSSIST cases for NDAs, contract amendments, new contracts, and terminations, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.

Oversee invoice approvals, maintain thorough invoice tracking, and resolve any related discrepancies.

Coordinate and process Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BCDR) and third-party attestation requirements, ensuring compliance with Humana’s Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program.

Manage vendor relationships as the primary liaison between PPO and external vendors, including collaborating with senior leadership to set strategic direction and reporting on relationship health and service quality.

Assist in Requests for Proposal (RFP) processes, helping research potential vendors , handling issuance, and evaluations.

Facilitate the vendor selection process, including business case creation, planning, evaluation, execution of agreements, and ongoing tracking of services and contracts.

Ensure transparent contract management, including monitoring expirations, renewals, SLAs, performance standards, and compliance with due diligence and attestation requirements.

Collaborate with business units to track service levels, quality, incidents, and quarterly scorecards, and ensure vendors have appropriate disaster recovery procedures and communication protocols in place.

Required Qualifications – What it takes to Succeed 

Minimum of 3 years of vendor management experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a contract management system

Minimum of 3 years of experience facilitating to a leader level audience

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in aSSIST and/or Coupa (handling Purchase Orders, Invoices, opening aSSIST cases, etc.)

Experience with the contracting process

Work at Home Requirements

•            To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

·             At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

·             Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

·             Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

·             Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

·             Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$78,400 - $107,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
