Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as a recognized expert in vascular sonography, consistently performing advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures and contributing to quality assurance and accreditation efforts. Routinely conduct complex vascular studies—such as mesenteric and renal artery evaluations—with a high level of proficiency, ensuring correlation with other diagnostic modalities when applicable. Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for sonographers and clinical staff, providing ongoing education, guidance, and technical support. Participate in the training and onboarding of students, residents, fellows, and new team members. Support daily operations by assisting with exam scheduling, workflow coordination, and rescheduling as needed. Facilitate equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in the absence of management or as delegated, including preventive care and service coordination. Represent the department at professional conferences, delivering well-organized presentations to enhance regional and national recognition. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of vascular anatomy, pathology, and clinical indications for diagnostic procedures. Independently perform a full range of vascular ultrasound exams within the scope of professional certification. Execute high-complexity vascular studies, including mesenteric and renal artery imaging, with precision and consistency. Document exam findings thoroughly, ensuring compliance with internal protocols and industry standards. Record and archive diagnostic data using designated software systems for interpretation and clinical review. Identify vascular abnormalities and equipment issues, adapting imaging techniques to accommodate patient-specific anatomical variations. Exercise independent clinical judgment to tailor exam protocols for optimal diagnostic outcomes. Translate imaging data into clear, concise reports for physician interpretation. Collaborate with physicians to discuss preliminary findings, including urgent or atypical results requiring immediate attention. Ensure timely coordination of urgent or add-on diagnostic exams. Provide patients and families with clear explanations of procedures and answer related questions. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment, proactively addressing technical issues. Stay informed about emerging technologies and products through professional development activities and recommend improvements when appropriate. Serve as a backup to the Lead Sonographer, assuming leadership responsibilities when needed. Travel to satellite clinics or affiliated locations may be required to fulfill clinical duties. Utilize job-related software and systems effectively to support clinical and administrative tasks. Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, attention to detail, and respectful collaboration with colleagues, patients, and external partners. Perform additional duties or participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements: Graduate of accredited (CAAHEP) ultrasound program (Associate or Bachelor) or equivalent education Experience Current RVT and BCLS certification. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a vascular sonographer.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $109000.00/yr.
